Islamic Paradise and Fanatical Jihad

Shadows over National Security and Public Safety

By Mike Scruggs- For centuries, pirates sponsored by the Muslim Ottoman Empire’s four provinces on the North African (Barbary) coast of the Mediterranean had preyed on European shipping. These Barbary Pirates from Tripoli, Algiers, Tunis, and the Sultanate of Morocco had begun capturing American ships and ransoming their crews in 1784. Because the new American nation had no Navy, the Spanish advised the American Minister to France, Thomas Jefferson, to pay the Barbary Pirates tribute as economic protection. In fact, the Tripoli Pirates threatened war against the United States unless they paid tribute. In March 1786, Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli’s envoy to London. They asked him by what right Tripoli and the other Barbary Pirate provinces had to make war on nations that had done them no injury. His answer, according to Jefferson, was a classic brief on the Islamic doctrines of Paradise as a reward for Jihad:

“The right was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman [Muslim] who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

Jefferson and Adams recommended against paying a tribute, rightly reasoning that it would only encourage more piracy. Congress, however, did not feel they had the means to resist. When Jefferson became President in 1801, he rejected paying tribute to pirates. He won the war with a strengthened U.S. Navy and Marine Corp in 1804, remembered ever after with the Marine Corp Hymn celebrating victory on “the Shores of Tripoli.”

Chapters 55 and 56 of the Koran both describe Islamic Paradise with considerable duplication. Chapter 56 was written in Mecca first but has essentially the same content as chapter 55 written later in Medina. The verses quoted in chapter 55 repeat the question, “Which of your Lord’s blessings would you deny? 15 times. I have edited out all but the last for the sake of brevity. The translation is by N. J. Koran 56: 12-26, 30-40 select verses on Paradise

“They shall recline on jeweled couches face to face, and there shall wait on them immortal youths with bowls and ewers and a cup of purest wine that will neither pain their heads nor take away their reason; and with fruits of their own and flesh of fowls that they relish. And theirs shall be the dark-eyed houris, chaste as virgin pearls, a guerdon for their deeds. There they shall hear no idle talk, no sinful speech, but only the greeting, ‘Peace, Peace!’…. We created the houris and made them virgins, loving companions for those on the right hand, a multitude from the men of old, and a multitude from the latter generations.”

Koran 55 46-78 select verses on Paradise

“But for those that fear the majesty of their Lord there are two gardens… planted with shady trees. Each is watered by a flowing spring…. Each bears every kind of fruit in pairs….They shall recline on couches lined with thick brocade and within reach will hang the fruits of both gardens….Therein are bashful virgins whom neither man nor Jinn (genies) will have touched before…Virgins as fair as corals and rubies….Shall the reward of goodness be anything but good?…And beside these shall be two other gardens…of darkest green….A gushing fountain shall flow in each….Each planted with fruit trees, the palm and the pomegranate….In each there shall be virgins chaste and fair….Dark-eyed virgins sheltered in their tents…,whom neither man nor Jinn will have touched before…..They shall recline on green cushions and fine carpets….Which of your Lord’s blessings would you deny? Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of majesty and glory!”

Koran 4:74 makes it clear that those “who fight in the way of Allah [Jihad], be he slain or victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward.” Koran 3:157 promises, “And if you are slain, or die, in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass.” Hadith Sahih Bukhari 53:353 records Muhammad guaranteeing Paradise to those who are martyred fighting in the cause of Allah. Hadith Sahih Muslim 20:4645 records Muhammad telling his followers “Whoever cheerfully accepts Allah, Islam, and Muhammad is entitled to enter Paradise. But…” the position of those who have fought Jihad in the way of Allah is 100 times higher. Muhammad also promises in Hadith Sunan Al-Tirmidhi, 4:21:2687: “The smallest reward for the people of Paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine…”

The Islamic Paradise is most noted for its sexual pleasures for men, but women are also admitted to Paradise based on their own merit, part of which is how faithfully they served their husband. Muhammad once remarked that there would be far fewer women in Paradise, aside from the numerous houris assigned to the sexual delights of men and especially martyrs. Many scholars have noted the similarity of Islamic Paradise to that of the Persian Zoroastrians, except for Islam’s emphasis on male sexual pleasure and rewards for Jihad and martyrdom.

So Islam is a religion where heaven is a luxurious sexual paradise, which can most readily be gained by martyrdom while “fighting in the way of Allah,” a frequent rendering of Jihad.

Sharia Law as cited in Reliance of the Traveller defines Jihad thus: “Jihad means to war against non-Muslims to establish the religion of Islam. Don Richards, author of Secrets of the Koran, counted 109 verses in the Koran exhorting war on non-Muslims. Dr. Bill Warner, author of many books on Islam, has found that 9 percent of the Koran text is about Jihad, while a whopping 31 percent of the combined trilogy of the Koran, Hadith, and Sira are about Jihad. He finds that 328,000 words in the Islamic Trilogy are devoted to political violence, while only 34,000 words of the Old Testament are so devoted, with near zero in the New Testament. Moreover, the violence of the Bible is specific to particular historical contexts, while the violence of Islam is prescribed generally for believers without limit until there are no non-Muslims left in the world. The Bible asserts that “Vengeance belongs to the Lord” (Deuteronomy 32:35, Romans 12:19), but Islam requires Muslims to execute vengeance on all who reject Islam for all times. The Bible requires us to treat all mankind as we would have them treat us. But Muhammad forbids genuine friendships with non-Muslims and applies the concept of the Golden Rule only to fellow Muslims, applying different standards of ethical behavior toward non-Muslims.

So besides the dangers of political Islam, even the Islamic concept of Paradise is problematic.

How can we admit people inside the United States who believe what the Koran and Hadith(s) say about Muslim Paradise? Given that suicidal terrorism killing many innocent people is a major form of Jihad these days, the risk of taking followers of Sharia, Muhammad, and Jihadic paths to Muslim Paradise is prohibitively high and could result in civil war and catastrophic terrorism killing thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions.

It seems to me that we can only safely take those who have risked their lives to help us or who would gladly leave Islam, if they could safely do so. How many lives should we sacrifice to political correctness, multiculturalism, and international public relations? How much longer are we going to allow political fifth columns and Trojan Horses to facilitate overthrow of the U.S. government and Western culture in America? We are already at the edge. Excessive and unvetted Muslim immigration and Muslim Brotherhood oil money are also having considerable subversive influence on our election process.
